American Emergency Preparedness are now in the process of adding In-Person Instructors for courses held throughout the United States. We also have some special projects that we are about to embark on that will require “subject matter experts”.

If you’ve never attended an AEP class, here is a little bit about us: American Emergency Preparedness is owned and operated by 9-1-1 dispatchers. All our instructors are 9-1-1 professionals. We have been around for a little over 6 years. We are headquartered in Newport, Rhode Island, and have 2 additional offices located in Massachusetts and California. Some of our Instructors are recently retired and others teach for us on their vacation days, comp days or regular days off.

We specialize in 1-day 8-hour in-service classes, 3-day CTO workshops, Supervisory workshops, Private Sector/Civilian emergency training and Public Safety related conferences. We also have private clients like REI, Panera, churches, schools and others.

We pay you well and treat you very well. We expect high morale and an ethical instructor that can both entertain and educate. We believe in GREAT attitudes. Complainers are not welcome here! We love fun and know that each class we teach offers us and our students the opportunity to “make a difference”. Though we do pay very well, if you are “in it” for only the money, you need to look elsewhere. We believe in a passion for the topics you train coupled with demonstrating a positive attitude. The pay is great, and the journey is amazing.
